Classic Murano chandeliers hark back to a past faithful to classic and somewhat retro taste with a sumptuous, elegant effect and great scenic value.

Fine materials and meticulous craftsmanship contribute to the creation of fine lighting and furniture items. However, the classic chandelier is by no means to be considered out of fashion, because the many reinterpretations in a modern key make current that ancient taste that can make all the difference in furnishing a home. The master glassmakers of Bottega Veneziana make unique and timeless objects, the result of skills acquired and handed down over time and the outcome of continuous experience and collaborations with architects and interior designers.

Vast is the choice we offer our clients, making it possible to customize each element with great flexibility: in fact, each chandelier is made as a unique and timeless work of art.

The classic Murano glass chandelier represents an icon that fuses together past, present and future, becoming a fundamental part of furnishing with a timeless style.

The chandelier models contained in the classic chandelier section include endless variations: from the most opulent decorated with curls and pendants, leaves, flowers and rings in the most traditional Murano style, to simple and essential forms that are closer to the standard of contemporary design, while remaining faithful to the tradition of Venetian art glass. The choice of color and decoration are decisive in opting between a classic or a modern style.

Theapplication of gold leaf is particularly beloved by Murano glassmakers and is a "must" in Venetian glassmaking. The procedure for applying gold leaf is as follows: in blown glass, thin 24Kt gold foils are used, which are picked up with the hot glass mail that is covered with an additional pickup from the crucible. Following the final blowing, the metal leaf shatters into a gold dust, with very striking effects. The earliest known gold-leaf Venetian glassware dates from the second half of the 15th century. A fine example is the classic LOTO chandelier, which is made with very fine 24Kt gold leaf decoration and worked with the traditional twisted rigadin technique.

Our master glassmakers craft these true jewels of Murano's artistic tradition with great skill.

The Murano chandelier in transparent crystal can become instrumental in creating a modern and welcoming environment, bringing a touch of class and elegance-a design classic that still continues to be a great protagonist in our homes. One example is the stately and refined Andreas model, made in the transparent crystal version (and also available in the total gold version).

Luxury classic chandeliers are distinguished by the refinement of their workmanship and decorations: Violetta is a typical example of Murano workmanship in which the manufacture of leaves and flowers, cut up (pissegàe) one by one by the capable art of the master glassmaker, create a true masterpiece of Murano glass art, resulting in a unique and timeless style and for this reason it is also called Secolo.

Luxury classic chandeliers: Bottega Veneziana specializes in reproduction and restoration of antique chandeliers. The Palladio model was restored and an exact reproduction was made of it. The pair of crystal chandeliers is displayed in a private Palladian Venetian Villa. In this setting, Murano glass, with its magical light effects, gives spectacular reflections to an inherently refined setting, rich in unique history and charm.

White Murano glass chandeliers are among the most versatile as they can furnish both classic and modern rooms bringing harmony and class creating a fresh and elegant ambiance. Combining the color white with crystal creates spectacular light: the Algieba model is one among our white chandeliers that expresses this ability to combine tradition and innovation together, responding to modern interior design needs that use bright tones while avoiding excess in home decor.

For those who want to illuminate their homes with colored Murano glass chandeliers Bottega Veneziana provides a wide range of colorations to create perfect settings-the Color model, for example, is ideal in Total White environments.

Among the classic Murano glass chandeliers, the floral style is another example of typical Murano glass workmanship in which, as the name already suggests, the main element is flowers that can be made of transparent crystal colored with metal oxides of various kinds - such as the Alma blown glass chandelier, a true classic of the Venetian tradition - or in "pasta vetrosa," a type of opaque glass with a very vivid color that gives the decorations a spectacular visual impact. Our Murano glass chandelier Roseto is an example: floral compositions that allow you to completely change the face of a room, making it more lively, fresh and colorful.
