Contemporary chandeliers in Murano glass

The Contemporaries bring hot-blown Murano glass shaped in the flame into present-day forms: clean lines, essential geometries, neutral palettes — crystal, white, smoke — with touches of colour where they are needed. Linear or cluster pendants, from 1 to 42 lights.

Conceived to speak with contemporary architecture, lofts, modern villas and executive offices without giving up the handwork of Venetian glass. Every chandelier is made to measure in our furnace in Venice, on a chain or mounted directly to the ceiling. In this collection: Murano glass chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, ceiling lights, table lamps and floor lamps.

The craft

The material, before the form

Even the cleanest line is born of fire: every element in Murano glass is hot-blown and shaped in the flame by the master glassmaker in our furnace in Venice, then mounted on essential frames.

From the furnace

The glass is gathered glowing from the furnace, at over a thousand degrees, on the master glassmaker’s blowpipe.

The shape

Breath and rotation give the glass soft volumes and full colours, controlled by eye and by hand.

Petals and leaves are pulled with the tongs while the glass is still hot: every element is unique.
