— IN DEPTH
A made-to-measure suspension for a historic palazzo in the centre of Treviso. The dark exposed wooden beams and the period furnishings called for a light fitting that would sit in the space without competing with the antique material: the choice fell on a composition of drops in solid Venetian glass, each decorated inside with gold leaf.
The metallic inclusion stays suspended within the thickness of the glass, generating a warm, material light that changes with the angle of view. The density of the cluster was calibrated to the room — present enough to inhabit the height of the ceiling, transparent enough not to overwhelm the furnishings and the paintings on the walls.
