— IN DEPTH
The Torcello model is one of the most recognisable interpretations of the contemporary Venetian repertoire: arms shaped in the warm glass, elongated and twisted like graphic marks in space, replacing the geometric rigour of classic chandeliers with an almost painterly gesture.
For a minimally designed apartment in central Milan, the client chose the variant with white-banded arms on a black ground, heightening the chandelier's sculptural character. Suspended at the centre of the white ceiling, the Torcello acts as the room's sole decorative presence, in dialogue with pared-back furnishings and neutral surfaces.
