— IN DEPTH
In a Modena residence, Venetian glass takes two voices that alternate through the rooms. The Vaporoso, crystalline and light, lives in the reception hall amid gilded stucco: a large chandelier at the centre of the ceiling and matching wall lights on the damask drapery. The Teschi, in dark smoke-grey glass, emerges in the rooms where white and gold give way to a more contemporary register: a chandelier above the pale sofas, another in the stairwell. Two opposite signatures — light and shadow, classic and contemporary — united by the same material.
