— IN DEPTH
In a Roman residence, two opposite languages of Venetian glass coexist in different rooms. In the stairwell, an Icerock cascade of over ten metres descends vertically: blown-glass elements — crystal, white and pale blue, irregular like small fragments of ice — suspended on transparent threads from the ceiling mount. In the reception rooms, Minerva chandeliers in the Ca' Rezzonico style, with a pale-blue and crystal body decorated with multicoloured glass-paste flowers, accompanied by matching Minerva wall lights. Two works far apart in period and gesture — one contemporary, the other classic — united by the material: Venetian blown glass in all its declinations.
