— IN DEPTH

For Palazzo Ripetta, a five-star hotel on Via di Ripetta in the historic centre of Rome, a supply of chandeliers from two distinct families was commissioned. Studio Fausta Gaetani, author of the interior project, selected from the catalogue two models able to inhabit the hotel's spaces while returning different stylistic registers.

The Vesuvio model is a Rezzonico in smoke-grey Venetian glass, with a black structure and twelve lights: imposing, scenographic, conceived for the reception rooms. Palme, by contrast, is a chandelier of Déco origin in crystal, with a more austere geometry and a graphic character — a counterpoint that lightens the more intimate spaces. The two figures light the hotel with different accents, returning the layering of styles typical of Rome's historic residences.
